The ideal participant:
1) Has ambition to take their career to the next level, be that in their current role or in a future role. You want to shine in the workplace and be seen as someone with leadership potential. You may not have the title of 'Manager' yet, but you have the drive to develop into your next role, and if that's likely to involve managing people or leading projects, the programme is for you.
2) Has an interest in people. You want to learn to get the best out of people, encourage people and empower people – including yourself. You don't need to know HOW to do any of this yet, but you do have a keen interest to know more.
3) Is concerned that effective management requires you to be brash, aggressive or forceful and you do not identify with these traits. In fact, you're likely to be terrified of them! You avoid conflict, cringe at having to have "difficult" conversations and shy away from addressing potentially embarrassing things with people. You are kind and compassionate and want to learn ways of connecting with people that mean you are respected for being nice, without that being seen as a weakness.
The Core Curriculum is delivered by our private online learning platform. After you register for Manager School (Online) you'll be sent an email with details of how to create a log-in and password. Once you've logged in, all your Core Curriculum video content, bonus content, information on the qualification elements and all key dates for Live Q&A Coaching and Live Extra Expert Masterclasses will be easily accessible.
The Live Q&A Coaching and Live Extra Expert Masterclasses will take place via Zoom and you will be sent reminder emails of these dates in plenty of time.

Rome wasn’t built in a day! Confidence and competence are skills you learn, not something that develops overnight.
The Core Curriculum has been specifically designed and is delivered in an order and format that builds your learning from the foundations up. We don't throw loads of unrelated concepts at you, and each lesson follows the next so you see your skills and confidence gradually, and sustainably build.
In addition, we don't want this experience to be a tick-box training course. You need to time to embed the learning and implement the lessons in the real world - the reflection style questions will help you to apply everything you learn to your own personal circumstances and situation so you see the most impact.
Because life happens. Even with the best will in the world, we all know that sometimes life can throw us a curveball, or we get pulled into a project that takes a lot of our attention, or perhaps a project overruns.
It's really important to us that we make this programme as accessible as possible. The Core Curriculum is divided into 12 weeks, but by giving you access for 12 months, we allow wriggle-room for those inevitable hold-ups.
It also means we can offer you even more value-for-money in the form of more Live Q&A Coaching sessions and Live Extra Expert Masterclasses (you can access these for the whole 12 months).
In addition, we drip-feed the content to you, so you're not overwhelmed by everything all at once (a sure fire way to lose focus, procrastinate and log-out). Evidence also shows us that reminder emails help with accountability, so you can expect friendly prompts if you haven't logged in for a while!
You have a full 12 months to complete the qualification, submit your answers to our questions and make adjustments if any of the answers need more work. We're here to help you succeed and giving you a full year to do this helps that!

The ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership Management qualification requires you to receive core learning on the topics included within this programme and then “prove” your learning through assessments.
Assessment is done is the form of open questions at the end of Core Curriculum videos. You will answer short questions at the end of the videos you watch and click to submit your answers. You will effectively be building your qualification as you naturally work your way through the Core Curriculum.
If you need to re-work any answers or provide any more information you will be contacted by one of our assessors and can re-submit answers as many times as is needed to pass. Remember - we want you to pass!
Full information on these assessments will be provided on enrolment in the Welcome Videos, and Hayley and her team will support you through every step of the journey.

Hayley has over 15 years experience managing people, in both strategic and operational capacity. She brings a wealth of knowledge, lessons and expertise from managing small teams, to teams of over 100, volunteers to paid employees and both her friends/peers and people older and more experienced than her.
In addition, Hayley holds the following qualifications:
